We the members of SAFE (Saving Antiquities for Everyone), a coalition of advertising and communications professionals, educators and academics and individuals with a professional or personal interest in art and archaeology, recognize the need to make the adult and juvenile public aware of the vulnerability of the tangible cultural heritage to willful destruction, the nature of those activities and persons who endanger it, and the need to take action to ensure the preservation of antiquities worldwide.

Affiliated with no political agenda, we will strive to promote such awareness by:

• Working together with organizations that have similar goals, be they academic, governmental, or professional
• Supporting legislation that will limit the traffic in looted or stolen antiquities
• Recruiting members and supporters from among our colleagues and from college campuses
• Maintaining an interactive educational website
• Producing age-appropriate educational materials for classroom use
• Producing public service advertising materials
• Organizing meetings and conferences
• Raising funds for these activities from granting agencies and through commercial activities which are in keeping with the purpose of our organization
