SPREAD THE WORD!

SAFE volunteers are professionals, scholars and students of all ages, but you don’t need to be an expert to work with us. The only requirement is an interest in informing others about the damaging effects of looting and the illicit antiquities trade. SAFE matches the right people with the right projects, and encourages interaction among team members. Easy access to a computer and Internet connection also help. Once you have told us about your skills and experiences in the form below, we will plan your involvement together.

Volunteers work on specific projects for a predetermined period of time, up to 6 months. Most projects are accomplished collaboratively with other volunteers. Join our online community SAFECONNECT—The Cultural Heritage Network and start connecting with others also concerned about preserving cultural heritage worldwide.

As a person inspired by cultural history, I found the SAFE cause very interesting. It definitely opened my eyes to issues plaguing our society that aren’t spoken of. I am honored to have volunteered and gained much experience helping with the website, and I’m happy to help again in the future.
